MindCrew Project (Ages 5-11)

Thursday Afternoon’s 11am-12.30pm for Home Educated Children.

In this annual 6-week project children will learn age appropriate psychological concepts, including; cognitive and social psychology, neuropsychology, mindfulness and meditation techniques. This includes movement and breathwork, as well as, short meditations and mindful walks around the forest setting, incorporating fun games and activities, whilst connecting with nature.

All children will be given a workbook folder to take home, this is optional. No child will be made to do anything they do not want to, if they would prefer to use the time and space as a stay and play, that is up to them. I advocate autonomy at all times.

My sessions are dynamic and fun, incorporating different learning modalities, art, play and open discussions.

Terms and Conditions

MindCrew Project Terms & Conditions, Health & Safety and Disclaimer 1. Supervision and Responsibility The MindCrew Project is not a drop-off group. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times during the session. By attending, you confirm that you will remain present and take full responsibility for your child’s behaviour, safety, and wellbeing throughout the activity. 2. Health and Medical Responsibility There is no qualified first aider on site. By attending, you accept full responsibility for your child’s health and medical needs. You confirm that your child is fit to participate in outdoor activities and that you will manage any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs. Please ensure you and your child/children are wearing suitable clothing, waterproofs, sun cream, sun hats, insect and bug protection and so forth. There is no shelter from the weather and no toilets. There is no food or drink provided, no fire's or sharp tools are allowed. Please ensure you bring any necessary medication, such as inhalers or EpiPens, and inform the organiser of any relevant health information before the session begins. In the event of injury or illness, parents or guardians are responsible for providing immediate care and, if necessary, seeking medical assistance, there is no first-aider on site. 3. Nature-Based Environment Sessions take place in a natural outdoor environment. Parents acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor and forest-based activities, including uneven ground, weather conditions, insects, plants, and natural obstacles. Children must wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor conditions. 4. Respect for the Forest and Environment All participants are expected to treat the forest and surrounding environment with care and respect. This includes: Not damaging plants, trees, or wildlife Leaving no litter Following any guidance given to protect the natural space Parents are responsible for ensuring their children behave respectfully towards the environment and other participants. 5. Behaviour and Group Safety Children are expected to behave in a way that is safe and respectful to themselves, others, and the environment. If a child’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, the organiser reserves the right to ask the family to leave the session for the safety of the group. 6. Not Therapy or Childcare The MindCrew Project is a wellbeing-based group experience and does not provide childcare, therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. Any mindfulness or wellbeing activities offered are intended for general support only and are not a substitute for professional care. 7. Liability While all reasonable care is taken to create a supportive and safe experience, Gabrielle’s Guidance accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage incurred during sessions, except where required by law. Parents and guardians attend and allow their children to participate entirely at their own risk. 8. Photography and Privacy Any photography or filming will only take place with prior consent. Personal information shared will be treated confidentially in line with data protection regulations. 9. Acceptance of Terms By attending the MindCrew Project, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, Health & Safety guidance, and Disclaimer.
