About Me

Welcome – I’m Gabrielle (but you can call me Gabby)

I am a professional and accredited Hypnotherapist (Dip Hyp CS), based in Bath, Bristol and worldwide online. In March 2025, I was overjoyed to be awarded ‘Hypnotherapist of the Year’, a recognition of my dedication to helping people achieve lasting change.

Professional Background & Qualifications

I hold a degree in Psychology (BSc Hons Psy) and I am also a qualified mindfulness coach. My approach blends modern hypnotherapy techniques with mindfulness and compassionate awareness. I am also a practising lay-Buddhist, which informs the calm, non-judgemental and heart-centered way I work with my clients.

My Journey in Healthcare

I have worked in the NHS as both a Health Care Assistant and a Medical Secretary in the Cardiology and Stroke Departments. Part of my role involved typing letters for consultants. Each day, I saw the same advice repeated to patients: stop smoking, lose weight, start exercising, reduce stress. I felt compelled to do more to help—I wanted to help people actually make these changes and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. This was a turning point that led me back to hypnotherapy.

How Hypnotherapy Changed My Life

In 2019, I personally sought hypnotherapy to lose weight after struggling with postpartum weight gain. After years of failed dieting attempts, hypnotherapy was the only thing that worked—I lost 4 stone and have sustained that weight loss ever since.

I later returned to hypnotherapy to boost my confidence, and the transformation was profound. It was this inner confidence that finally allowed me to pursue my aspiration of becoming a hypnotherapist myself.

Why I Am Passionate About Helping You

Although hypnotherapy transformed my life, my work is not about what worked for me—it is about discovering what will work for you. Every person is unique, and I tailor each session to your individual needs, values and subconscious patterns. I am incredibly proud of the clients I have helped thus far and observing them achieve their goals is an incredibly profound privilege.

Is Hypnotherapy Right for You?

If you have a gut feeling that I may be the right hypnotherapist to support you, I would be delighted to guide you. Together, we can access the tools and techniques that create lasting change, not just temporary motivation.

This is your time. Your mind already knows what it needs – I’m here to help you unlock it.

Charity & Community Work

Giving back is a deeply important part of my Buddhist practice and personal values. I am passionate about supporting charities that promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

In May 2025, I completed the AJ Bell Bristol Half Marathon in support of the British Heart Foundation. To further increase fundraising, I also offered a free group guided meditation session, helping to raise awareness of the mind-body connection in heart health.

Previously, I have completed the Bath Half Marathon to raise funds for Trauma Breakthrough, a charity supporting survivors of trauma, and I have participated in the Race for Life 10K in aid of Cancer Research UK. I have also raised funds for the Alzheimer’s Society by taking part in an official Memory Walk to honour those affected by dementia.

Alongside fundraising events, I have volunteered as a crisis counsellor for a text-based mental health support charity and have served as a mentor for secondary school students, offering emotional support and guidance during pivotal stages of their development.

Supporting Your Community

I am always happy to offer free guided group meditation sessions for workplaces, charities, and community events.
If you would like to arrange a session, please fill out the contact form below and I will be in touch.
